Wilmington Fire Department crews responded to the scene of a van on fire outside an apartment at 648 Village Drive in the Mayfaire area.
The fire, which destroyed the van, also threatened the apartment building. There was only minor damage to the building because an exterior sprinkler system kept the fire down until fire crews arrived.
