Must read

Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department were able to track down 15-year-old Deanna Smith, who went missing from New Bern Street in Wilmington on June 25.

In a press release from WPD public information officer Linda Rawley, she stated Smith was located in Randolph County, N.C., and is safe.

Smith left a note for her parents in June stating her intentions to run away but WPD investigators had not heard or seen anything else from Smith for a while.

Randolph County is just less than a three-hour drive from Wilmington south of the Triad. Asheboro is the largest city in Randolph County.
