Seagrove potters to celebrate American Craft Week

The North Carolina Pottery Center is partnering with several shops for a special event on Oct. 11 in honor of American Craft Week. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., area residents can turn in machine-made pottery items to the NC Pottery Center in the center of Seagrove to receive a 20 percent-off coupon for a replacement item of the same sort from one of the participating shops.

Exchangeable items include coffee cups, flowerpots, plastic bowls and vases. Participating pottery shops include Bluestone, Carolina Crockery, Crystal King Pottery, Eck McCanless, From the Ground Up, Ginger Bread House, Great White Oak, Humble Mill, Jugtown, Keith Martindale, Kings, Lucks, Lufkin, Nichols Frank Neef, RockHouse, Seagrove Stoneware, Snowhill, Walton’s and Westmoore. A complete listing will be available on the day of the event.
