In this, the 60th anniversary year of Hurricane Hazel, the Cape Fear Museum will host a town hall meeting designed to educate the public on the effects of Hazel’s arrival in the Cape Fear region, as well as to explain the possible effects of a major hurricane today and how area residents can prepare themselves for such a disaster. This evening’s panelists include: Jan Davidson – Cape Fear Museum Historian, Gannon Medwick – WECT, Scott Dean – WWAY, Warren Lee – New Hanover County Emergency Management and David Garrison – American Red Cross
The meeting starts 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
