In an effort to reduce it’s impact on the environment, Cape Fear Public Utility Authority is now offering a portable water fountain in place of free bottled water at community events.
In the past, the utility frequently donated bottled water to fairs, races and other events where it was requested but says its new water station will serve the same function without the plastic bottles. The portable station serve six people at a time and must be set up near a CFPUA hydrant.
