The Wilmington Concert Association will dissolve May 31 after 86 years.
The organization’s board of directors voted April 19 to cease operations, citing difficulty competing with other area organizations to raise funds and attract audiences.
Any funds remaining at the time of dissolution will be donated to the Cape Fear Community College Foundation in support of the Humanities and Fine Arts Center.
