Todd Miller, founder and executive director of the North Carolina Coastal Federation, was recently honored with a “Hero of the Seas” award for his efforts at advocacy, education and restoration programs to protect the state’s coastal habitats.
The award was part of the Peter Benchley Ocean Awards, named after the “Jaws” author and marine conservationist.
