The Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame recognized four inductees and four scholarship recipients at it’s banquet Sunday, May 3, which also marked the organization’s 10th anniversary.
Inductees are Chuck Caree, Mel Gibson, Jim Hebbe and James E. Moore.
Scholarship recipients are Gerald Vargas, Spartanburg Methodist College; Jordan Talley, University of North Carolina Wilmington; Sylvester Smith, Hoggard High School; and Cory Everett, New Hanover High School.
