Hoggard High School student Torrance Yang was awarded a $2,500 scholarship by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. He was one of 2,500 scholarship recipients chosen from among 15,000 finalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program. The program evaluates students based on accomplishments, skills and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
