Two local high school students were the first recipients of the Joel Lewis Scholarship, awarded by the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Experience. Kierra Dunston of E.A Laney High School and Algernon Robinson of Isaac Bear Early College High School were awarded the scholarships May 9.
