A shop selling gourmet coffee and shark tooth jewelry will soon open in Wrightsville Beach.
The Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen voted Sept. 10 to allow local resident Audrey Longtin to open The Work Shop, which she hopes to do by Spring 2016. Longtin said patrons will be able to choose a shark tooth from the collection she has gathered while scuba diving and she will make the bracelet or necklace on site.
The Work Shop will share the building located at 86 Waynick Blvd. with Kohl’s Frozen Custard. The ice cream shop currently occupies most of the building except for a storage room, which Longtin plans to renovate to house her business.
Her proposed renovations include adding a door and a window so the 400-square-foot room has its own entrance.
