The Wrightsville Beach public works department is currently flushing the water main pipes on the island’s south end, effecting residents and businesses from Stone Street to Jack Parker Boulevard.
The flushing is expected to last for about three hours, starting at 9 a.m. The procedure can produce cloudy or discolored water and residents are advised not to use hot water or do laundry during this time.
