There could be snow on the beach on Sunday, as the National Weather Service forecast that the region had between a 20 and 30 percent chance to see an inch or more of snow. The Wrightsville Beach area is located near a band on the NWS map with the greatest possibility of snow, at 30 percent.
For Saturday, the NWS forecasts a low temperature of 36 and a 50 percent chance of precipitation of up to a half-inch possible. Sunday will be partly sunny day with a high of near 46 degrees and a north wind of between 13 and 15 mph, with a 40 percent chance of precipitation for Wilmington, the NWS forecast.
Sunday night should see a low of 36, NWS said.
