Traffic was disrupted in Wrightsville Beach on Tuesday, Feb. 16 when two cars collided at the intersection of Causeway Drive and West Salisbury Street at about 6 p.m. After the collision, one driver was treated while she laid on the road next to the Honda Accord she was driving. After an ambulance arrived, the driver was able to get up and walk to the ambulance to get medical attention and was eventually taken to the hospital.
Wrightsville Beach police said the Accord hit a white Buick that was trying to get across the intersection. The driver of the Buick was not injured.
