Traffic will be disrupted in Wrightsville Beach on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 17 when the Wilmington Family YMCA Triathlon gets underway at 7 a.m.
Most delays will affect residents and businesses in the area of Causeway Drive, Old Causeway Drive, Dock Street, Seacrest Drive, Keel Street, Short Street, and Marina Street. Vehicle traffic access to these areas will be open but delays should be expected, Wrightsville Beach officials said.
The bicycle portion of the race will also affect traffic on Oleander and Greenfield Loop roads and Airlie Drive in Wilmington. The race will also include a five kilometer run around the Wrightsville Beach loop.
Normal traffic flow should resume by 10:30 a.m.
