Boy Scouts help out with Hospice Festival of Trees

Must read

Anders Jensen, age 11, a member of New Hanover County Boy Scout Troop 232, saws a board that will be used to make a Christmas tree stand for the Lower Cape Fear Hospice annual Cape Fear Festival of Trees. Working at the Little Chapel on the Boardwalk Presbyterian Church in Wrightsville Beach on Nov. 14, the troop sawed boards, mounted brackets and added wheels to the stands, which will be used to hold the trees for the festival. “I’ve done some projects with my Dad, but I’m learning a lot here, and it feels good to help out,” Jensen said. The festival is scheduled for Nov. 21-Dec. 4 at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
