July 23

• Joshua Harden was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer; resisting, delaying and obstructing police; and being intoxicated and disruptive.

• Jeffrey Michael Oatis was arrested for underage consumption and possession of a fraudulent I.D.

Accident and Incident Reports:

July 23

• There was a reported larceny on the Mallard Street beach strand.

• Multiple accidents on the drawbridge and elsewhere tied up traffic during the weekend. The first occurred when a 16-year old driver was travelling east. While distracted, she hit the center median, over corrected and collided with the concrete guardrail causing delayed traffic in both directions. See related story A-1.

• A motor vehicle accident was also reported on Sweeney Street. 　

July 24

• A traffic collision was reported at Causeway Drive and Waynick Boulevard.

• Indecent exposure was reported on Masonboro Island.

• A hit and run was reported in the 400 block of South Lumina Avenue.

July 25

• A second drawbridge traffic accident occurred when a motorist following too closely failed to decrease speed and collided with another vehicle.

• A second traffic collision caused by following too closely was reported at the 74/76 westbound drawbridge access at the flashing light.
