Ladies’ clothing store Monkee’s was recently named Retailer of the Year by the North Carolina Retail Merchants Association. The award recognizes businesses for their contributions to the state’s economy, their business innovations and their impact on local communities.
Founded in 1995, Monkee’s has grown from a single Wilmington location to 23 stores in eight states. The company expects to open three additional franchise locations later this year.
