The design firm behind a Wilmington auto dealership was recognized for the building’s unique design by a national architecture magazine.
Metal Architecture awarded the Becker Morgan Group with the 2015 Ribbed Metal Wall Panels Award for the triangular-shaped Audi Cape Fear building, located at 255 Old Eastwood Rd. The design firm, located Randall Parkway in Wilmington, said the design enhanced the “dynamic presence of the building.”
“The triangular-shaped site resulted in a unique triangular-shaped building footprint which allowed for an exciting dynamic between the primary programmatic elements: showroom, sales offices, and the service garage,” Becker Morgan Group said in a release.
