National Weather Service forecasts Friday evening storms, cooler Sunday temperatures

The National Weather Service Wilmington said an incoming cold front would bring the possibility of severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon, accompanied by wind gust, lightning, heavy rain and hail. In its weekend outlook, the NWS said the storms would be followed by a secondary cold front on Saturday evening, bringing crisper and cooler temperatures on Sunday.
