Castle Hayne, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) will host a Manufacturing Day Expo on Thursday, November 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at its North Campus (4500 Blue Clay Road, Castle Hayne, NC). The expo offers middle school, high school, CFCC students and the public an opportunity to connect with local manufacturing employers and learn about job training programs available at CFCC.
“Manufacturing Day provides an ability to showcase the innovation of area manufacturers and provide middle and high school students the ability to discover careers in manufacturing,” said John Downing, CFCC Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development. “Through CFCC’s career and technical workforce development programs, students are introduced and connected to, as well as trained for, these types of jobs.”
In addition to 31 participating manufacturers, several local community resources will be present. These include Carolinas Staffing, CFCC Student Services, Employment Solution, Genesis Block and NCWorks.
The Manufacturing Expo is planned and coordinated by CFCC’s Economic and Workforce Development division which provides short-term training to advance and enhance current and future business and industry in our community. To learn more visit cfcc.edu/continuing-education.
