No Boundaries International Art Residency is an experiment in cross-cultural and cross-creative  exchange. For two weeks out of every year, participating artists are provided with the time,  place, and means to create, uninhibited and alongside fellow artists on Bald Head Island, NC. Founded in 1998 by Wilmington based artists Pam Toll, Gayle Tustin, and Dick Roberts, No  Boundaries aims to bring artists from around the world together to enlighten each other and the  larger community through sharing art, culture, and ideas. The residency continues to be  predominately run by artists who understand how important the gift of creative time is.

This year will be No Boundaries’ first in-person residency since the pandemic of 2020. Bringing together artists working locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally it will feature the  artwork of Deborah Caliva (Wilmington, NC), Judith Chandler (Wilmington, NC), Clyde  Conwell (Wilmington, NC), Charles Harlan (Wilmington, NC), Mitzy Jonkheer (Wilmington,  NC), James Keul (Durham, NC), Dorry Spikes (Wales, UK), Yifenn Strickland (Kure Beach,  NC), Alan Swart (Wilmington, NC), and Serena Weit (San Francisco, CA).

These artists will arrive on Bald Head Island beginning Saturday, January 7 and create artwork until the end of the two-week stay. The opening reception at Wilma W. Daniels Gallery, on  Saturday, January 21, 2023 will then showcase the artwork created during the residency.
