The League of Women Voters of the Lower Cape Fear and WECT will host a series of candidate forums Oct. 7–9 for county, state and national races.
County and state forums will take place at the New Hanover County Senior Resources Center. An Oct. 7 forum will include candidates running for New Hanover County commission, school board and sheriff. An Oct. 8 forum will include candidates in the North Carolina House and Senate races. Both forums start at 6 p.m.
On Thursday, Oct. 9, U.S. Senate candidates will debate in the WECT studio. The debate will be broadcasted and streamed live.
Register to vote
All applications to register to vote in the Nov. 4 election must be submitted to the New Hanover County Board of Elections by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10.
