New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation honored Rose Zimmer as the 2014 Pink Ribbon Angel Award recipient at the annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon Oct. 2 at the Wilmington Convention Center.
Zimmer and her husband Alan have been generous supporters of NHRMC for many years, NHRMC stated in a Sept. 29 press release, contributing to many patient care areas of the hospital including a significant gift to the original Zimmer Cancer Center building campaign.
Proceeds from the event will provide free mammograms and diagnostics for women without insurance or resources to pay for them.
