Civil War re-enactor Philip Brown will walk 166 miles from New Bern to Durham to mark the return of soldiers at the war’s end, 150 years ago.
An opening ceremony for “A Soldier’s Walk Home” takes place May 10 at 3 p.m. at the Tryon Palace Commission House, 610 Pollack St, New Bern. For more information call 919-807-7389.
