Drivers may wish to avoid the westbound Oleander Drive near South College Road for the next three weeks. The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority will be completing an emergency sewer repair near the intersection that began last month.
The westbound right lane of Oleander Drive will be shut down to make the repair; the affected lane is on the Walgreens side of the intersection. Although traffic will be permitted to continue through the intersection, CFPUA officials suggest that westbound traffic use alternate routes, such as 42nd Street or Peachtree Avenue.
The left two lanes on Oleander west of South College will remain open.
