Wrightsville Beach, NC – Planners for the January 1, 2023 triple dog dare you to take the Wrightsville Plunge. Just like Schwartz to Flick in the 1983 Christmas comedy A Christmas Story.
The 8th Annual Wrightsville Plunge benefits Communities in Schools of the Cape Fear. Communities in Schools, a national non-profit with a strong local presence and leadership, works to keep kids in the school system and on a path to graduation.
Plunge festivities begin at 11 a.m. January 1, 2023 behind The Oceanic restaurant between public access points 36 and 37. Two plunge times are set for 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Planners encourage participants from as many local communities and states as possible. Plungers represented more than 19 states during the January 2022 Wrightsville Plunge.
