The UNCW women’s soccer team is through to the CAA semifinals after a 4-0 victory over the Delaware Blue Hens Sunday at UNCW soccer stadium.
Senior Maddie McCormick contributed to three of the goals, scoring the first and third and assisting on the second. Senior Katrina Guillou scored the second goal of the game and Lindsey Byrne came off the bench to score the fourth with only two minutes left in regulation.
The Seahawks outshot the Blue Hens 16-4.
The team now travels to face William & Mary in the semifinals in Hempstead, N.Y. next Friday. The winner of the other quarterfinal will face top seed Hofstra.
